President Mahinda Rajapakse says that there is no need to obtain foreign assistance to solve issues within the country.
The President pointed out that issues within the country should be solved through dialogue.
He also stated that the island nation did not receive the support of international forces or military to defeat the LTTE.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa made this statement while distributing deeds to around 2000 persons at a ceremony held at Temple Trees last morning.
The President stated that this is an era where everyone should join hands, casting aside their differences, for the betterment of the country.
The President further pointed out that the benefits of development following the end of the war should be equally enjoyed by everyone across the country and should not merely be restricted to a certain group.
