Death sentence for the second time

An individual who was found guilty on the charge of murder was sentenced to death today by the
Kegalle Provincial High Court.

The accused is a resident of Deraniyagala. He was found guilty for assaulting a man to death on April 14, 2002 in the Dereniyagala area.

High court judge Meneka Wijesundara while delivering the verdict said that the charges levelled against the suspect were proven beyond reasonable doubt.

The suspect who was found guilty today, was handed over the death sentence on an earlier occasion too.
