Court orders OIC of the Boossa Detention Centre to appear

Colombo High Court Judge Sunil Rajapakse issued an order yesterday for the OIC of the Boossa Detention
Centre to personally appear before Court on March 14.
The order was issued, following a complaint lodged by a Former Police Superintendent currently in custody.

The complainant, Lakshman Cooray, states that he was locked up in a dark cell from 6 a.m until 6 p.m at the Boossa Centre.

The complainant has been charged with covering information, pertaining to a member of the LTTE named Ramesh, who gathered information in Colombo.

The Former Superintend of Police was arrested shortly after investigations into the LTTE suicide
attack in which former Minister Jeyaraj Fernandopulle amongst several others were killed.

The case will be taken up again on March 14.
