Water supply to some areas will be disrupted for nine hours on March 31, due to the suspension of electricity to the Water Supply System in Kalutara.Accordingly water supply will be interrupted in Waskaduwa, Pothupitiya, Moronthuduwa, Kalutara North, Kalutara-South, Katukurunda, Nagoda, Payagala and Maggona areas.
The water supply will also be disrupted in Beruwala, Moragalla, Aluthgama, Benthara, Bombuwala and Piliminawatte.
The National Water Supply and Drainage Board stated that the water supply will be disrupted in these areas on Saturday from 8 a.m to 5 p.m.
