Clampdown on mumps - two schools closed


Two schools in the Kalutara Education Zone have been temporarily closed due to the spread of mumps.
The Ministry of Education of the Western Province has decided to close the schools to stop the spread of the disease among students.

Chief Minister of the Western Province, Prasanna Ranatunga stated that the Kalutara Pombuwela Primary School and the Pombuwela Maha Vidyalaya have been temporarily closed due to the spread of mumps among students.
