Two individuals have been arrested for possessing a pair of elephant tusks in the Aralaganwila area.Police said that the tusks are over two feet in length.
The suspects were arrested during a search operation carried out by the Polonnaruwa police.
The suspects are to be produced before the Polonnaruwa Magistrate.
