Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the abduction of a mother and a daughter in the Udugama area in Galle.The abduction had taken place day before yesterday, with the intention of obtaining a ransom of five hundred thousand rupees, according to the Police.
A 28-year-old woman and her two-and-a-half-year old daughter had been abducted.
They were found by the Police this morning, at a residence in Ahangama where they were being held.
The Police notes that the person suspected to have approved the contract to carry out the abduction was among the suspects arrested.
