Children facing risks from four different categories, survey reveals

A recent survey has revealed that more than 100,000 thousand children in the country face serious risks.

The survey initiated by the Department of Child Care and Probation at Divisional Secretariat level, has revealed the that children are facing risks under four different categories.

Commissioner of the Department of Child Care and Probation, Yamuna Perera noted that the highest number of such cases were reported from the Jaffna district.

She added that,a plan to look into the children is being formulated together with Non Governmental Organisations.
