Chairman of the All Island Poultry Association D.D. Wanasinghe said that a request has been made to the Ministry of Cooperatives and internal trade in this regard.
The Chairman said the price of a kilogramme of chicken will be increased to Rs. 444 if permission is granted for the request by the ministry.
Secretary to the Ministry of Cooperatives and Internal Trade Sunil S. Sirisena said such a request has
not been received as yet.
