Coastal railway line from Galle to Aluthgama to close

The Department of Railways has decided to temporarily close the section of the coastal railway line from Galle to Aluthgama once again.

This was in line with renovation work that need to be carried out on several bridges along the coastal belt.

Speaking to Newsfirst, Railways Planning Director Wijeya Samarasinghe said that accordingly, the coastal line from Galle to Aluthgama will be closed for three days from April 6 to 8.
