A group has set fire to a jeep of an officer attached to a Non Governmental Organisation in the Ukkulankulam area in Vavuniya.Police Media Spokesperson SP Ajith Rohana said that the incident took place at around 8 last night.
The jeep belonged to a Technical Adviser of a Non Governmental Organization that was engaged in demining activities in the north.
The perpetrators connected to the incident are yet to be identified.
