Deputy Leader of the United National Party Sajith Premadasa has challenged critics to be of service to the nation without any state powers, just like him.
Premadasa made this challenge while participating in a programme in Slave Island Wednesday.
"I made a promise to you. Hooligans can scream as much as they want. Critics can criticise. But I am challenging them to render a public service similar to the service rendered by Sajith Premadasa which is devoid of any state powers or positions.''
''''I challenge them to step onto the streets without staying in palaces and to go to temples, kovils and
places of worship in order to provide a service to the people at a time when there is no election. I am challenging all of them," said UNP Deputy Leader, Sajith Premadasa
Sajith Premadasa presented a financial donation for the development activities of the Masjidul Mohideen Mosque at Union Place under the Masjidu Pudu-Oliwa programme Wednesday
