Child pushed out of bus - NTC temporarily suspends permit

The route permit of the bus where a child was allegedly pushed out because the child did not have the
required bus fare has been temporarily suspended.

Chairman of the National Transport Commission, Roshan Gunawardena said that this step was taken last afternoon.

The child is a student residing in the Mawanella area.

Speaking to Newsfirst the student said that the conductor of the bus pushed him out when he found out
that he did not have the required bus fare.

Speaking further the student said that as a result he had to walk 18 kilometres to his house.
