The UN Climate Change Conference will commence in Durban, South Africa today.
Minister of Environment Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Minister of Disaster Management Mahinda Amaraweera and Minister of Power and Energy Patali Champika Ranawaka will represent Sri Lanka at the conference.
A meeting of high level state officials into climate change was held on the 29th of last month to coincide with the UN Climate Change Conference.
Attention has been focused on the imbalance of the environment owing to global warming. The UN Climate Change Conference will go on till December 9.
