Seven students in their second year at the Medical Faculty of the Rajarata University have been suspended from attending lectures.
Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. K.A. Nandasena stated that the students were suspended for their involvement in a ragging incident.
The Vice Chancellor added that a female student was amongst those who had been suspended.
He noted that the university’s disciplinary committee is carrying out further inquiries into the incident.
